You would never think that this mini van drivin, JCPennys wearin grandma was a hippie back in the day. As a matter of fact she was at Haight-Ashbury back in the day. For you young folks, Haight-Ashbury was two streets in San Francisco and it was THE hippie mecca. It was a bunch of hippie hangin out, smokin, and free lovin. Now if you ask her she will swear that she was not "that kind of hippie" So for mothers day I made these lil t-shirts for the babies that said "My grandma was at Haight-Ashbury and all I got was this t-shirt"
She had to have been a very cool person. I am from the same era. And I can honestly say I was a child of the 70's that was not "that kind of hippie" either. It was the music that bound us, not the lifestyle I think.
