Magazine Housewife vs. Real Housewife

Last night I was flipping through a baby magazine and saw this mom breastfeeding her baby. (sound effect: me sucking my teeth). Oh this lady was skinny with her hair perfectly styled, her lovely earrings accented her perfectly made up face. Her living room had not a speck of dust on her crystal accesories. Her friend was sitting next to her on her white couch. They were likely discussing how the Macys' size 1s usually run to big.

OK at 4:00 in the afternoon I am still in PJ bottoms and a coffee stained ('cause I was to sleepy to hit my big mouth) bra. When you are breastfeeding twins, why bother wearing a shirt. My hair always has dried baby puke in it. My living room consists all things baby and a three legged one eyed dog. It would be nice to see my lovely accessories, but there is to much dust. I have three things that lady doesn't have, my cute Tami, Jackson, and Hansome Jim.--I feel sorry for her ;o)

Got Milk

Funny story***stop reading if you are easily offended (but if are my friend then you are not easily offended) ****
My friend Amanda came over today. I was nursing Jackson (keep this in mind). Amanda's stomach was growling. Knowing that I had a ton of milk in the fridge and it was going to go bad soon, I said "hey do you want some milk??"---She got a aweful look on her face and said "Connie, you are sick!!" LOL--I said--"not that kind of milk!!, I have milk in the fridge". I laughed so hard that my face hurt.

Good thing about babies--they can't run from kisses like Renae and Cole do.

How sweet is that!! Yeah I will be showing this pic to them, when they are bratty teenagers. I just hope that now that this pic is on the web, that we aren't bombarded with offers from magazines, tv, and movies. That would be to much stress.

Poor Dad!!! My father in law is in the hospital. Don't know what is wrong with him yet. Poor fella. He was suppose to leave on a swanky vacation tomorrow but instead is stuck at the St Anthony hospital :( He is such a swell guy, I hate that he is so sick.

Purple babies and purple boobies

The babies went to the doctor today. Jackson weighs 10 pounds 1oz and Tami 8 pounds 2 oz. Tami got the purples stuff from being treated for thrush. The doc also painted my boobies, so the other pic is of Jackson after nursing on the purple boobies. The doc warned me about it being really purple, he said "you aren't going to get pictures taken are you?" I said "of my boobs--NO!!??" He said, "No, the baby" ;o)

Then I got to see my friend Cheryl for just a few minutes. I almost had her talked into a Thelma and Louise trip, but we decided to be responsible and go home to our slick skin babies (her's not so little)

Made candles and printed butts

Me and Renae made some candles for Christmas. Made lilac and harves scents. She was a big help. ---funny story--- A few weeks ago, I had pumped alot of breast milk. She was sitting next to me and I said, hey Renae, you can tell your friends that your step mom makes her own groceries. She said, well you also make candles.--like making candles was more amazing.

Sunday---Me and Jim painted the babies butts and made prints of them. I couldn't resist, they are just so cute!

Had time to get foxy

Oh yeah--- without the babies had time to wash my hair and shave my pits!! Jim hasn't seen that much foxiness since before the babies were born.

Happy Fur Babies--No Slick Skin Babies

yep it is true, me, Molly, and Shelby got to hang out without the slick skin babies. They were happy since they have not gotten as much attention since the slick skin babies were born. Speaking of fur and slick skin babies. What is the deal with people putting ads in the paper "free to a good home, moving and can't take my dog" What if I put an ad in the paper saying "free to good home, moving and can't take my twin babies" People would freak out. Come on, pets aren't something that you have until it becomes inconvenient. There will be times when it is imposible to keep your pet, but call me crazy (ok I am) but pets are people too. OK that is my rant. Go ahead, right click the pic of Molly and save to your computer. Ya know you want to.

Serious game of paddy cake

I was in the kitchen doing the dishes and I heard a serious game of paddy cake going on. Grabbed the camera and this is what I saw. How cute. --Except Jim was singing a different paddy cake than I know. Oh well I am sure it won't be the only thing that we have diffent ideas about. You know, like Jim will want to teach these people to talk, I think otherwise because now they don't talk back. Jim will want them to go on vacation with us. I think that if I am on vacation, I ain't taking kids with me. That is why I am refusing to get a mini van, because he will want to take all the kids places with us. NO WAY am I going anywere with 4 kids. That is nuts. Life is just better to hang out and play paddy cake.

Good Time at the Walmart

Got out of the house today to do some grocery shopping. I ran into a couple ol' friends--Joey and Amy. Was nice to see them. Best part---I got Jim some cigs and got carded!! Hell yeah!!. Even though I am a swole 35yr old momma of 2, apparently I look younger than 18!!! OH I was digg'n' that.

Bitsy came to visit

My friend Bitsy came to visit today and see the babies. Bitsy has 4 kids including a set of twins. Holy cow-- I can't imagine. I like hanging out with Bitsy because she is the same sort of crazy that I am. ---which is very rare--She even has weiner dogs!!---

Another Soggy Bottom Baby

I may have hit the cuteness limit on the blog with this one. This is my niece Ashlyn. Born April 26th. It was neat being pregnant at the same time as my little sister. The best part was she was going through everything a couple months before me, so she could give me a heads up on the misery that I was about to experience in the pregnancy. Yeah alot of people say being pregnant is wonderful. Not for me!!! It was horrible. I am just glad that my babies were cute. I would have been mad if I went through all that and they weren't cute.

Dad took the babies on a stoller ride yesterday. Aunt Char got them their stroller and they love it.

Two people changed my life

A couple years ago, I married the sweetest and most handsome man in the world. Lucky me. We had fun road trip'n', going places, watching TV and making fun of the people on TV. Then we thought, "with both of us being so good looking, we should have a baby". Well on 12/12/08. I went to the doc for my ultrasound. They said I was pregnant with twins. Holy cow!!-- Double cuteness!!--wait a minute--these babies won't have jobs to pay for anything.

My punkins were born June 17, 2009. Everyone said I would love them like crazy and I sure do. However life is totally different. No more getting foxy for a night out with my handsome Jimmy Jimmy. Now it is trying to find the time to take a bath, so I can soak off all of the bodily fluids that have accumilated throughout the day. Being a mom (and dad) of twins is awesome and alot of work, I am so lucky to have supportive friends and family.
